Dawn — the woman behind the rides.
Dawn grew up on a Soutpansberg farm and has ridden these trails since she could reach the stirrups. What started as a few steady horses and a love of the mountain is now a small, personal outfit — you’ll be greeted by name, and the guide is the owner.
Guests come for the mountain and come back for the horses. Every ride is led by Dawn or one of her hand-picked local guides; every horse is matched to its rider; nobody is ever rushed.
The herd & the people
Calm horses, careful people.
Schooled on the trails
Horses are worked daily, shod regularly and retired to pasture when they’ve earned it. No horse is ever pushed past its fitness.
Local guides
Guides are from the area, first-aid trained and radio-linked. They read the weather and the ground, and they know when to walk instead of canter.
Safety first, always
Helmets on every ride, weight and experience matched to horses, and a safety brief before you mount. Children ride with experienced guides on lead.
